Lancaster Farmacy’s Winter Holiday Market

Ring in the holidays at Lancaster Farmacy’s Winter Holiday Market on Saturday, December 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 397 Letort Road in Millersville!

“The Winter Holiday Market is a chance to visit our new farm and see inside of our gorgeous 1890 renovated tobacco barn, where the market will be held,” Elisabeth (Eli) Weaver, co-founder and owner-operator of Lancaster Farmacy, shared. “The public will have a chance to shop our entire line of herbal tea blends, tonics, tinctures, syrups, skin products, and more. We will have gift box options perfect for gift-giving. We will also have a special assortment of evergreen wreaths and swags available for purchase.”

Event attendees will have the chance to get to know and shop for gifts from a number of local business owners, as well.

“We will be having a handful of other local artisans and craftspeople vending their goods: Front Porch Bakery, Mio Studio jewelry and art, Kevin Lehman’s pottery, Katie and Kesse’s Candles and Crystals, and Signe Hall watercolors and textile art,” Weaver said.

Hygge vibes will abound at this upcoming event — so no matter the weather, it will be a cozy day, according to Weaver.

“There will be a cozy fireside café serving Lancaster Farmacy tea and chai,” she said. “We will have a festive ambiance and some outdoor warming stations to enjoy the outdoors, as well.”

The Lancaster Farmacy team will be onsite during the event to answer questions about their one-of-a-kind, small, certified organic farm located here in Lancaster County.

“In the growing food movement, we see the need for reclaiming natural healing traditions and making it accessible at the local level,” Weaver shared. “We have dedicated more than 13 years to growing nutrient-dense produce, herbs, and flowers — without the use of chemicals or pesticides to nourish our community and earth. We are a team of herbalists, farmers, medicine makers, florists, and stewards of the land.”

And after 13 years, the vision behind Lancaster Farmacy remains steadfast: “To empower people to take their health into their own hands and provide high-quality natural foods and herbal medicine. To steward the land in the most honorable way through low-impact farming using sustainable practices, planting more trees for the future, and be a growing sanctuary for biodiversity, medical crops in our bioregion, and continuing to grow and expand native species to support our delicate ecosystem,” according to Weaver.

Now, the Lancaster Farmacy team is excited to welcome visitors to their brand new space.

“This is the first time we have had a physical space to host an event like this, since we recently purchased our own farm,” Weaver shared. “This is the first event of the year since we have been busy in the fields all year long! We look forward to offering workshops on herbal education, floral design, and holistic health workshops and retreats in 2023.”
